Good environmental practice has always been a prime consideration in TSC WETCLEAN’s development, leading us to seek practical solutions to avoid the production of waste.
THE FIRST CLEANER IN THE WORLD TO ELIMINATE DRY CLEANING SOLVENTS, WIRE HANGERS, PLASTIC PACKAGING.
Our main goal as a wet cleaner was to eliminate the use of harsh dry cleaning solvents and chemicals used in the cleaning process. By converting to water and biodegradable detergents and conditioners TSC WETCLEAN was able to achieve this. Our next challenge was hangers and packaging, which has brought us full circle. We offer our customers clothing hung on plastic hangers and packaged in cloth garment bags, made by Green Garmento which serves two purposes. It is a garment bag with a zipper closure on the side as well as a laundry bag with a draw chord. We have insured that our customers will not be taking any extra waste home with them. Only freshly cleaned and pressed clothing.
Whenever possible we reclaim hangers for reuse. Any hanger that cannot be reused is sent for recycling.
TSC WETCLEAN’s reuse and recycling schemes are developed as partnerships with our customers, where we actively encourage our customers to provide us with necessary support and advice.
