SEPTEMBER 1988: A NEW DRYCLEANER COMES TO TOWN
Our family business was founded in 1988 in the heart of Mississauga and has remained at the same location at 801 Dundas Street East since. Trillium Drycleaners was the name of our retail business, and Screen Clean was the name we established for our work in Toronto's film industry, providing 24 hour pick - up and delivery service.
As a drycleaner we operated by using best practices, state of the art equipment and the solvent known as perc or perchlorethylene to clean garments. Dry cleaning is how we established our business and reputation as leaders in professional garment care. All the skills we've established are directly correlated to our two decades as dry cleaners. One of the common misconceptions associated with dry cleaning is that clothing actually gets wet. The only difference being is that they are getting wet with a solvent as opposed to water.
MARCH 2009: A NEW CLEANING TECHNOLOGY COMES TO TOWN
On March the 15th 2009, we opened our brand new state of the art wet cleaning facility, and merged both our companies Trillium Drycleaners and Screen Clean to form TSC WETCLEAN. The City of Mississauga's First Wet Cleaner!
Our industry as well as the world in general has seen many changes since we opened our business. Our health and the preservation of the environment have been major topics throughout the world. This new age of awareness for our health and the health of our eco-system has been the driving force in initiating this change in our business. After years of research we were able to discover a healthier and effective alternative to dry cleaning. We believed that we could do better. And we have.
Traditional methods of dry cleaning use chemicals which are harmful to our health and our environment. TSC Wet cleaning is environmentally friendly because no hazardous chemicals are released into our air, our water, or the clothing we wear. All detergents used in the cleaning process are biodegradable, free of phosphates, fragrances and are hypoallergenic.
As always our commitment and passion for cleaning clothes and delivering customer satisfaction remains our top priority.
